For me, I always think of each student as a puzzle. There are pieces to the puzzle and I have to put the pieces together to make the whole picture. It takes time. There have been challenging students and times when I’m in bed at 2 a.m. thinking about their pieces. I take my thoughts and apply them and if it doesn’t work, I change it. If it still doesn’t work, I change it again. I’ll get on the internet and search for information, I’ll talk to parents and previous teachers. I just try to find out as much as I can to help each child succeed.
