I didn’t even know I wanted to be a teacher until I was much older. My son was born premature and so I became a stay-at-home mom, ending my career as a medical assistant. When we put him in preschool for socialization, I started subbing there and ended up going into teaching as a result. I work in kindergarten readiness and I love watching the improvement in their skills from the time they come to me until the time they leave. It makes me proud and happy to see them grow. I love knowing that I helped prepare them for their education.
